Stretching & Flexibility
Sometimes between errands it’s hard to find the time to go to the gym & get a full workout in. While you may be missing a good gym session you can still partially make up for it with some stretching. Did you know just 10 minutes of stretching every day can have a plethora of health benefits for you?
Improved Workout & Less Injuries
It’s true! Stretching can improve the quality of your workouts by making your body more flexible. This allows you to have a decreased risk of injury, how does this work you may ask? It’s pretty simple! While you’re stretching you are improving your bodies range of motion, this means that when you’re doing a workout your body now requires less energy to make the same movements as before. Having flexible joints lessens the chances that you’ll sustain any injury during a workout.
Improved Posture & Reduced Lower Back Pain
Research has shown that stretching can reduce the soreness of muscles after your exercise. Since your muscles are already being used throughout the day this can cause them to become stressed & therefore cause you pain. By being flexible & practicing stretching you can help to reduce any stress on your lower back.
You are also improving muscle balance by actively stretching, this improves your muscular balance and your posture while resting.
Better Overall Health
After some stretching you will notice that you’re overall performance in your workouts has improved. You should also see that any regular recurring aches & pains that you previously felt have eased or even completely vanished!
